4º BRAFFTv – Brazilian Film Festival of Toronto (2010) has the objective to promote Brazilian films in Canada.

1. Pre BRAFFTv

Showcasing talented Brazilian filmmakers of previous years to give a tantalizing glimpse of what this years' festival holds. Barbara de la Fuente, BRAFFT Executive Producer, introduces films and leads discussion after the screenings.

A little sample of what is going to be presented just to leave you amazed. The films Good Morning Eternity, from the director Rogério de Moura and Mamma Africa, from the director Alê Braga open the Pre BRAFFTv.

3. Competitive Program

Ten films compete for the Golden Maple Award in the Best Actor, Best Actress, Director, Film and Audience categories. The audience vote for the films at the end of each screening.

In its third edition, UpTo3’ features films developed for the new media such as elevators, games, internet, cell phones, etc.

5. Special Screening- Pink Brazil

To launch the Pink Brazil Festival, BRAFFTv invited the film Dzi Croquetes, directed by Tatiana Issa and Raphael Alvarez to open the Festival. Starting in 2011, the Festival will screen at least four films.

Professor Dr. Hudson Moura moderates the talk “Brazilian Cinema” at the University of Toronto. The event is co-ordinated by Eugênia Jardim.

7. Award Ceremony

The award ceremony is open to the public. There will be a party after the award ceremony. After the award ceremony Betty Santos (vocal and shaker) and Richard Stafford (acoustic guitar) will be playing Bossa Nova tunes. Come and join us!!!
